bridal portraits

since i didn't have the blog at the time no one really heard about my whole wedding dress shopping experince. well let me just say it was deff unique! let me just tell you exactly how it went.
i had been searching online for an idea of a dress style that i wanted. i had no knowledge on any styles of wedding dresses except for the big poof princess dress which was just not me. so me and aris' sister really started searching for something more along my style. i looked everywhere alfred angelo and even searched usedweddingdresses.com , i even had the idea that i was going to get my dress hand made custom just so i could get exactly what i wanted and just to try and find something different. then one day, i found the dress i thought i wanted no doubt in my mind. that was the dress. so i searched for shops in the greater houston area for shops that carried the dress and it was like a sign, the neighborhood i grew up in had a bridal shop that carried the dress. i made and appiointment and me and my mom and my mother in law and the lady that was personally going to hand make my dress AND my maid of honor all stomped into the bridal shop all SIX of us. let me just say total choas. it was like shop til you drop in that bridal store. we picked out about 25 different dresses for me to try on. and the ONE dress i had went there to try on turned out to be a dud. it was nothing like the picture. it wasn't shiny , the color wasn't the same, and overall i was just not satisfied with the dress. so we started looking for something else. luckily i found a dress that was stunning. it turned out to be half the price of the original one i wanted which was amazing and it looked amazing on me. so we bought it. i learned don't bring anyone with you to pick out your dress except for your maid on honor cause it was total chaos! hahahaha. good times. so now my dress is here three months later and i've gained a couple pounds and it's kinda hard to get my dress zipped so me and my baby are on a wedding diet/work out and he's losing it but mine is just shifting to different areas of my hips!

as soon as i can get my dress on to where it fits comfortably i'm on my way to take my bridal portraits with Mr. Dilauro, which i LOVE his work is beatuiful. i think his style is very classy and vintage. nothing about it traditional which everyone knows is something im not going for. i love the new modern wedding and that's what he's giving to me. the only problem is i dont know where to take pics at. i had originally gone with his suggestion to go to pmhouston.com but i found out a lot of girls go there to take pics so im on a hunt now to find somewhere origianl.
